I purchased these for cross country skiing when the temperature hits below -10 degrees celsius. Super soft and comfy!
Besides outdoor exercise, these knee socks are also great for clearing brush in spring. You can get by with thinner work trousers too, because your legs stay warm. Needles and the like don't slip in at the top of the sock to bother you, since the leg reaches up to the knee and is snug.
